Community Involvement
Being a native of Lancaster, I am honored to be an active member of the Antelope Valley Community.
I truly am "Your Hometown Agent."
I am
also a Trustee of the Lancaster Cemetery District. Lancaster Cemetery’s
mission is to provide an affordable place for local residents to
remember their loved ones, as well as preserve the rich cultural
heritage given to us by our local pioneers. I was proud to be part of
the Cemetery’s re-dedication of the Japanese Farmers’ Memorial. The
memorial was damaged immediately following the attack on Pearl Harbor
and was restored to its former glory through the efforts of the local
community as well as local schoolchildren. I am also grateful for the
Cemetery’s efforts to build a Veterans’ Court, honoring the men and
women of our Armed Forces.
My
other memberships include the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Quartz
Hill Chamber of Commerce. My wife, Jackie, is an Executive Director of
the Lancaster Chamber.
I
work closely with our local schools and proudly participate in "Read
Across America," promoting literacy in our young people. I also support
"Ally’s House" charity, which assists families of children with
cancer. My niece, "Ally" Webb, died of cancer at the age of two from
Wilm’s Tumors, so assisting families of these children is especially
meaningful to me.
